The planets keep moving: the Moon changes sign every two to three days, and Mercury turns retrograde about three times a year. This page works out the sky for this moment, in your browser, with the same astronomy the My Cosmic Code app uses on your phone.
Where the Sun, the Moon and the planets are right now: the Moon’s phase and sign, every planet’s sign and degree, which planets are retrograde, and what changes in the next 7 days.
Look at the retrograde line: if Mercury is listed there with ℞, it is retrograde right now. A planet is retrograde when, seen from Earth, it seems to move backwards through the zodiac for a while. It does not really turn around; the effect comes from Earth and the planet moving at different speeds. The day it changes direction is called a station, and it shows up in the 7-day list.
The calculator shows it at the top, with its degree and the time it enters the next sign. The Moon changes sign every two to three days, so the answer can change during the day.
The calculator lists them. Mercury is retrograde about three times a year for around three weeks; Venus and Mars less often; Jupiter to Pluto for several months every year. The Sun and the Moon are never retrograde.
Your browser’s time zone. Choose a city to see the times there. The positions are the same everywhere on Earth; only the clock time changes.
The positions are computed from real astronomy, to within an arcminute. Phases and sign changes are given to the minute; a station is given to the day, because the planet is almost standing still around it.
No. Everything is worked out in your browser, and nothing is saved or sent. The app works the same way, on your phone.
