Your Chinese, Japanese and Vedic horoscope, worked out from your birth date

Born in January or early February? Your Chinese zodiac animal depends on the date of Chinese New Year in your birth year, not on 1 January. My Cosmic Code looks the date up and shows it, then reads the same birth data the Japanese way and the Vedic way.

Questions

Why is my Chinese zodiac animal not the one I expected?

The Chinese year starts at Chinese New Year, between 21 January and 20 February. If you were born in January or early February, you may belong to the previous year’s animal. The app shows the exact dates of your Chinese year.

What is my Vedic Moon sign?

The sign the Moon was in when you were born, measured against the stars (the sidereal zodiac) rather than the seasons. The two zodiacs are now about 24 degrees apart, so your Vedic Moon sign is often the one before your Western Moon sign.

What is Nine Star Ki?

A Japanese system that gives each year one of nine stars, each with an element. Your star comes from your birth year, counted from Risshun, around 4 February.
