Rabbit in a dream: meaning

What dream books say

The rabbit is traditionally a symbol of fertility, luck and quick escape, and old dream books count it among the gentle, hopeful signs. It is also read as timidity — the urge to run before looking. Many rabbits are linked to abundance and growth, a white rabbit to innocence or to being led somewhere unexpected, as in the old stories. A rabbit caught or hurt is read as vulnerability, and a rabbit hiding as a wish to stay out of sight. The dream may simply ask whether you are moving quickly toward something or away from it.
