Sheep or goat in a dream: meaning

What dream books say

Sheep are read as gentleness, trust and going along with the group. The lamb stands for innocence and tenderness, while the goat is linked to stubborn independence and a climber’s will. A flock moving together is read as belonging — or as the worry of losing your own voice in a crowd. A lost sheep traditionally stands for someone, perhaps you, who has wandered from where they feel safe. Shearing is linked to giving away something of yourself, and a butting goat to a conflict that will not back down.
