Elevator in a dream: meaning

What dream books say

An elevator is read as fast change in standing or mood, with little say over the speed. A falling or stuck one is traditionally a picture of lost control. Rising quickly is taken as sudden success or a rush of confidence that can feel exciting or unsettling. An elevator that goes sideways, or past the right floor, points to a plan taking you somewhere that was not your choice. Being stuck between floors is read as a pause in life where you can neither go back nor move on. Sharing the cramped space with strangers suggests pressure from the people around you.

A question for you

Does the traditional reading fit your dream, or did it mean something else to you?
