Food in a dream: meaning

What dream books say

Food is read as nourishment in the wide sense — what feeds you, and what you are hungry for. Sharing a meal is traditionally a sign of belonging. Eating alone points to self-reliance, or to loneliness, depending on how it felt. Being unable to eat, or finding the food spoiled, is read as something that should sustain you not doing so. A table full of dishes suggests abundance and appetite for life, while endless hunger is taken as a need that has not been met. Cooking for others is read as care.

A question for you

Does the traditional reading fit your dream, or did it mean something else to you?
