Picture or photograph in a dream: meaning

What dream books say

A picture is read as memory and as how you frame things. An old photograph traditionally stands for a past moment that still has a hold on you, and looking through an album for a wish to reconnect with who you were. A torn or faded picture is linked to fading ties or to a memory you are letting go of. Seeing yourself in a photo you do not remember points to a side of you not yet known. Hanging a picture stands for wanting something seen and valued. A picture that moves or speaks is read as the past still active.

A question for you

Does the traditional reading fit your dream, or did it mean something else to you?
