Panic attack in a dream: meaning

What dream books say

A racing heart and short breath in a dream are traditionally read as pressure that has built up out of sight. A panic attack points to a load that wants to be noticed and shared, not to anything that has to happen. Panicking in a crowd is linked to feeling overwhelmed by others’ demands, while panicking alone suggests carrying everything by yourself. Someone helping you breathe is read as a wish for support. The dream speaks of strain, not of the body’s health.

A question for you

Has this come up in your dreams before? What was going on in your life then?
