Owl in a dream: meaning

What dream books say

The owl sees in the dark, so tradition reads it as wisdom and knowledge that comes at night. In older dream books it is also a messenger of endings — the close of a phase rather than anything literal. An owl watching you is read as your own intuition paying attention, or as a wise figure in your life. Hearing an owl hoot is linked to a message you have been slow to hear. A white owl stands for clarity and calm insight, while an owl that attacks points to a hard truth pressing in. Dream books ask what you already know but have not yet said out loud.
