The lizard basks in the sun and slips away when threatened. Dream books read it as instinct, quick survival skills and the ability to regenerate — the tail that grows back after it is lost. A lizard warming itself on a rock is read as a need for rest and slowness; one darting away as an opportunity or a feeling that escapes before you can catch it. A lizard losing its tail is taken as giving something up in order to get free. Some traditions read a lizard inside the house as small, cold-blooded thoughts creeping in. The dream often asks how quickly you adapt, and what you would be willing to leave behind to move on.
Does the traditional reading fit your dream, or did it mean something else to you?
My Cosmic Code has a private dream journal. Write a dream down and the app picks out the symbols in it, shows what dream books say about them and, over time, which words recur across your entries. The journal is stored on your device only.
