Lightning stands for sudden revelation — a flash of insight or an abrupt change that lights everything up for a moment. Tradition also reads a strike as a jolt that shakes up the ordinary in one bright instant. Seeing it from a distance is usually read as a realisation on its way, while lightning hitting a tree or house nearby points to a shock that touches close to home. Being struck yourself is a dramatic variant, linked to transformation and a burst of energy rather than harm. Old traditions treated lightning as a message from above. It can help to ask what has suddenly become clear to you.
Does the traditional reading fit your dream, or did it mean something else to you?
My Cosmic Code has a private dream journal. Write a dream down and the app picks out the symbols in it, shows what dream books say about them and, over time, which words recur across your entries. The journal is stored on your device only.
