Taking a life in a dream shocks many dreamers, yet tradition reads it almost entirely as a symbol: ending a habit, a role or a part of yourself you want to be rid of. It says nothing about who the dreamer is or wants to be. Killing a stranger is read as cutting off an unknown trait or a pressure you cannot name. Killing someone you know is taken as anger towards them, or the wish for a dynamic with them to end. Killing in self-defence is read as protecting your boundaries. Feeling guilt in the dream reflects a conscience at work. It can help to ask what you want to stop, and how it might end peacefully.
Does the traditional reading fit your dream, or did it mean something else to you?
My Cosmic Code has a private dream journal. Write a dream down and the app picks out the symbols in it, shows what dream books say about them and, over time, which words recur across your entries. The journal is stored on your device only.
