Intruder in a dream: meaning

What dream books say

An intruder in the home is traditionally read as a boundary being crossed: stress, a person or a thought entering space you consider private. The room they enter often shows which part of life feels exposed — the bedroom points to intimacy, the kitchen to care and daily routine. An intruder you never see is read as anxiety without a clear source. Confronting or locking out the intruder is taken as reclaiming your space. A familiar face as the intruder is read as someone close who oversteps. This is one of the most common anxious dreams and is read symbolically. It can help to ask what has been getting in uninvited.
