A buzzing fly is traditionally read as a nagging irritation or something left to spoil. Many flies point to a neglected matter attracting unwanted attention — gossip, clutter or a problem left in the sun. A fly that will not leave you alone is read as a persistent thought or person; one landing on food as something good being spoiled by a small intrusion. Killing a fly is taken as clearing away a minor worry, while failing to catch it reflects frustration. Some dream books also link flies to rumours, because they move from place to place carrying what they touch. The dream asks what has been left out too long.
Has this come up in your dreams before? What was going on in your life then?
My Cosmic Code has a private dream journal. Write a dream down and the app picks out the symbols in it, shows what dream books say about them and, over time, which words recur across your entries. The journal is stored on your device only.
