Enemy in a dream: meaning

What dream books say

An enemy in a dream is read as conflict made visible — with another person, or with a trait in yourself you reject. Dream books see the figure as a challenge to face. Fighting an enemy is read as struggle with a problem or a person who presses you; defeating them as confidence returning. Making peace with an enemy is taken as letting go of resentment, or accepting a part of yourself you used to hate. An enemy who is a friend in waking life is read as hidden tension or envy, not as a forecast of betrayal. Being hunted by an unknown enemy reflects general anxiety. The dream may ask what you are really fighting.
