Dove in a dream: meaning

What dream books say

The dove is the classic sign of peace, reconciliation and gentle love. Since the story of the flood it has also stood for hope returning — the olive branch after the storm. A white dove in flight is read as calm after conflict or a burden lifted; two doves together as tenderness and partnership. A dove landing near you is taken as an invitation to make peace, perhaps with yourself. An injured or caged dove is read as peace that feels fragile, or gentleness held back. Many religious traditions also see the dove as spirit and grace. The dream may point to where you are ready to forgive or be forgiven.
