Desert in a dream: meaning

What dream books say

The desert is read as emptiness and a dry stretch of life, but also as clarity — a place with nothing to distract you from what matters. Being lost in the desert is linked to loneliness or a long search without signposts. Finding water or an oasis is one of the oldest images of relief and of help arriving when it was most needed. Heat and thirst point to a need for care that has gone unanswered. Crossing a desert is read as endurance, and the night sky over it as a calm that only comes when the noise is gone.

A question for you

Has this come up in your dreams before? What was going on in your life then?
