Lying still below the waterline, the crocodile is traditionally read as hidden danger, old instinct and someone whose calm surface hides a sudden bite. Dream books link it to the feelings that wait in murky water — resentment, envy or a fear you have not looked at. A crocodile chasing you is read as pressure from something you have tried to ignore; one with its jaws closed as a danger that is present but contained. Escaping it, or crossing the river safely, is taken as getting past a tricky situation with your wits. Because the crocodile has outlived the dinosaurs, some traditions also read it as endurance and raw survival.
Does the traditional reading fit your dream, or did it mean something else to you?
My Cosmic Code has a private dream journal. Write a dream down and the app picks out the symbols in it, shows what dream books say about them and, over time, which words recur across your entries. The journal is stored on your device only.
