Aunt in a dream: meaning

What dream books say

An aunt is read as a caring figure just outside the parental role — often a source of advice, freedom or a different example of womanhood. Dream books also see her as a mirror of the qualities you associate with her. A warm visit from an aunt is read as support from an unexpected direction, or as a reminder of family warmth. A strict or critical aunt is taken as judgement from the wider family, or your own inner voice about how things should be done. Dreaming of an aunt who has died is read as remembering her influence. It can help to notice which of her traits you recognise in your own life now.

A question for you

Does the traditional reading fit your dream, or did it mean something else to you?
