An alien is read as something or someone that feels utterly foreign, or a part of yourself you do not recognise. It can also stand for feeling like an outsider among others. A friendly alien is usually read as openness to new ideas or a different way of seeing. A hostile one is linked to fear of the unfamiliar, or of a person whose behaviour you cannot understand. Being an alien yourself stands for not fitting in or feeling misunderstood, while talking with one points to the wish to bridge a gap. It can help to notice where you have been feeling out of place.
